Healthbox is now accepting applications from emerging digital health startups for the 2017 Healthbox Chicago Studio. The Studio is a five-day program dedicated to advancing innovative digital health solutions through peer-to-peer collaboration, speaker sessions, and cultivating relationships with healthcare leaders and investors. The unique program is free of charge to all selected companies with no required equity exchange.
Healthbox was founded in 2011 as one of the first healthcare-focused accelerators but has since evolved to a consulting services model aimed at helping healthcare organizations identify, develop, and assess high-potential ideas and source external solutions. While the company no longer hosts traditional accelerator programs they recognized a further need for connection and support at a stage when startups are prepared to pilot and scale. The Healthbox team designed the program to offer a helping hand.
“Healthbox is excited to continue our legacy in supporting entrepreneurial innovation through the Chicago Studio program” said Neil Patel, Healthbox President & COO, “As we work with healthcare organizations to innovate we understand the need for continued advancement in the digital health ecosystem. The Studio program will offer these early stage companies a bridge to their continued path of success.”
Ten companies will be selected from a national pool of applicants to participate. The program is intended for early stage digital health companies with a product in the market or product-ready prototype. The format offers a fast-track introductory opportunity to meet with healthcare leaders and network with other startup founders from across the country. Studio programming includes speaker sessions, mentor pairings, and an industry showcase event targeted toward both potential customers and investors.
The 2017 program will run October 9-13 at the Healthbox office in Chicago, IL. Companies can learn more and apply online at http://www.healthbox.com/startups by July 21 for consideration.
