Healthbox is seeking a creative, passionate, and driven professional with a deep understanding of healthcare to join our Innovation Consulting team. The position will focus on supporting and delivering our innovation services, including Innovation & Digital Strategy, Innovation programs, Commercialization, Analysis, Solution Sourcing, and more.
Manage work streams and deliverables for innovation and strategy engagements
Support client engagements to evaluate, refine, and advance innovative ideas with strong commercial potential and/or capability to scale across the client organization
Conduct primary and secondary research on new healthcare innovations to develop opinions on the commercial potential of an idea
Build detailed business plans for healthcare inventions, including analysis of the market opportunity, solution/use case(s), competitive landscape, workflow/implementation requirements, financial requirements for growth, etc.
Support prioritization of client organizational pain points; source, evaluate, and facilitate the selection of digital health companies to address those pain points
Leverage existing Healthbox frameworks and processes to identify and assess client challenges and support creation of tailored solutions
Collaborate on multiple projects/client relationships at once – and not get frazzled!
Build a positive and trusting relationship with clients
Engage in business development and sales processes as requested (e.g., slide development, prospect research)
Research and produce digital health thought leadership content with oversight from managers, and/or directors; draw conclusions from research to recommend positioning for Healthbox’s opinion-driven content
Attend events and conferences as requested and be able to clearly articulate the Healthbox mission and service offerings and share learnings with the team
Innovative and entrepreneurial mindset paired with strong communication skills
Highly collaborative work-style; pragmatic and resourceful problem-solver, with intellectual curiosity and an exceptional drive
Demonstrated project management, problem-solving, quantitative, and qualitative analytic skills
Understanding of clinical, operational, and financial drivers that impact healthcare organization decision-making
Capability and desire to build relationships and network within the healthcare industry
Experience working across multiple complex projects at once
Bachelor’s degree required
3+ years of work experience, primarily within healthcare or technology industries — consulting background preferred
Mastery of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Ability to travel up to 30% of time required, but Chicago-based
Authorization to work in the US; Healthbox will not sponsor visas
